23 June 2022 - Final conference BELMOD x TAKE

Non-take-up of social rights is an important theme in the fight against poverty and social exclusion. The FPS Social Security and the TAKE Consortium organised a conference around this theme on Thursday 23 June to present the final results of the BELMOD project and the TAKE project.

3 February 2022 - BELMOD presentation

On 3 February 2022, the FPS Social Security BELMOD team organised an online presentation of the BELMOD microsimulation model. By way of introduction, the BELMOD project was briefly framed, followed by an explanation of what a microsimulation model is and how EUROMOD and BELMOD relate to each other. The content of the dataset that we use for simulations with BELMOD was also explained. The FPS Social Security presented some initial results of the impact of harmonising and simplifying the subsistence tests of some assistance measures. The University of Antwerp presented BELMOD research on the impact of an increase in the employment rate to 80% on poverty targets in Belgium. We concluded by addressing the further planning of BELMOD.
