Belmod
BELMOD is a microsimulation model that allows policy makers to examine the impact of policy changes in social benefits and taxes. The results of the model provide an insight into the fiscal impact and the effect on income distribution or poverty. The detailed input dataset containing the characteristics and income of a selection of the Belgian population provides accurate results. Building on the existing infrastructure of the European model EUROMOD, BELMOD facilitates international exchange on reforms within social security.
